Preserve Original Schedules When PTO/Sick Added

Ability to have specific event types, like PTO and SICK time overlap an existing schedule instead of replace it on the staffing timeline.
For example, if an agent has PTO/Vacation, the original event types would appear underneath it, that way if we needed to remove PTO on a day, the original schedule would be preserved.

A way to keep the schedule that would have been there after a time off request is approved then cancelled later

Right now, if a request is approved then cancelled later, it wipes out the schedule that that person would have had normally. This can be frustrating when you are trying to assign that person their schedule for the day, since you may not remember what they'd usually be scheduled to do.

Automatic Restoration of Original Shifts After PTO Cancellation

When a PTO is cancelled, the original shift schedule isn't automatically restored, requiring manual intervention. The customer requests a feature enhancement that would automatically restore the original shift schedule when a PTO is cancelled. This would streamline their workflow and reduce manual scheduling adjustments.

Auto-restore schedule after cancelled time off request

It would be helpful to auto-restore the schedule for an agent after their time off event is cancelled. Then the manager/admin doesn't have to go in and edit their schedule themselves after this change happens.

Olivia Teich great to see this as being in progress!! Would you be able to ensure that events coming from the Google Calendar integration are also being overlaid the actual schedule? That way there are no gaps created when Google Calendar events get moved or deleted. We currently have to spend hours manually filling those gaps.
It would also be great if any non-productive events could be overlays like breaks so we can easily move them around without having to recreate productive events.

Resulting Limpet Thanks for chiming in! I'm glad you asked about that, because that's our intent exactly. We're aiming to design the system so that non-productive (called default or auxiliary in Assembled) events (such as meetings, lunches, and breaks) are overlaid over productive events, and time off events are further overlaid over all other events.
This would ensure that changes to or cancelations of meetings in Google Calendar do not leave gaps, moving around of breaks would leave productive events unaffected, and would also ensure that moving or canceling time off would reveal the underlying schedule rather than leaving a large gap.
