Currently, if a time-off request is not approved or denied before the requested date, it automatically moves into an “Expired” state. To help prevent requests from expiring unintentionally, it would be helpful to introduce a notification reminder for the approver.

Proposed Enhancement:

• Send a reminder notification (e.g., email or in-app alert) to the approver prior to the request moving into the expired state.

• The reminder should clearly indicate that action is required to either approve or deny the pending request before it expires.

Value: This feature would reduce the likelihood of missed or overlooked requests, improve the employee experience, and ensure better accuracy in time-off tracking.
