The "Send Request To" field on the Time Off request form is causing significant confusion for customers whose setups rely on automated time off rules (auto-approve/deny based on rules) rather than manual manager approval.
The core issues:
Confusing required field - When time off is governed by rules rather than human approvers, the "Send Request To" dropdown implies agents need someone to manually approve their request. This creates anxiety and misunderstanding about the actual approval process.
Submission blocked by "View only" users - If an agent selects their lead (who is "View only" in the dropdown), the system blocks them from submitting entirely. This is counter-intuitive since the field appears to offer the lead as a valid option.
Notification spam for leads - Leads who enable notifications receive alerts for ALL agent submissions (not just their direct reports), since advocates select anyone with notifications enabled. There's no way to scope notifications to only their team.
