We have several users with the Admin role who need administrative access to Assembled but are not responsible for approving time off. These include senior leaders.
Because Admins automatically have permission to approve, deny, edit, and cancel all agents’ time off requests, they appear in the 'Send request to' dropdown. Agents can then select them when submitting time off, which results in these users receiving time off request notifications that they are not expected to manage.
We need a separate setting that controls whether a user appears in the time off approver dropdown. This would allow us to keep the user’s Admin permissions, while preventing them from appearing as an available time off approver. This would ensure time off requests are routed only to the appropriate managers or approvers.
The current workaround is to create a separate custom role that copies the Admin role but removes time off approval permissions. This is difficult to maintain and requires creating a role specifically to exclude certain Admins from the dropdown.
Separating Admin access from time off approver eligibility would give us a much cleaner way to manage permissions and prevent requests from being sent to users who should not be involved in the approval process.
